Hartley Wintney Eagles U12s Win NEH Plate Final

Hartley Wintney Eagles U12s were victorious in the North East Hampshire Plate cup final last Saturday (17th May).

After a thrilling match against Grayshott Guardians that finished 1-1, the Eagles won a nerve-shredding penalty shootout 5-4 to lift the cup.

All the boys in the squad played in the final, so a real team effort to win. Well done Eagles for all your hard work this season!

It was really special day, great atmosphere and brilliant attendance. We had over 40 supporters turn up and watch (parents, siblings, grandparents aunties & uncles, friends etc), and somehow we managed to get all 14 lads at least 20 mins on pitch!

As we beat 3 teams from the division above to get to the final, plus taking care of league champions Grayshott, coupled with our strong finish to the league, we’ve been ask to play up a division next season (despite only finishing 4th) - which is great news.
