We are delighted to announce that, with immediate effect, Sarah Mawer will start in the role of Hartley Wintney Junior Football Club Secretary.
Sarah first moved to Hartley Wintney in 2011, just before her eldest son was born. He is now in his third year of playing for the football club and her husband, Kieren, is involved in coaching the team.
Sarah comments "I've seen how important the football club is as a key feature of the wider village community and I'm keen to contribute and give back to it in some way. Our youngest son has just started at Oakwood School and is already a keen footballer so we anticipate he'll also be joining the club when he's old enough." After graduating from University, Sarah spent 10 years in the Royal Navy as a Logistics Officer, including working for an Admiral as his Executive Assistant. Leaving to start a family, Sarah has since held roles in office management across several different industries, and is currently working in the regulatory department of a pharmaceutical company near to Hartley Wintney.
She has a wealth of organisational skills and experience of sitting on various committees and high-level meetings, both as a member and a secretary. She will bring these skills and experience to the football club and seeks to make a positive contribution to its running.
Sarah replaces Sarah Lucas, who stepped down earlier this month. We acknowledge the terrific job Sarah (L) has done over recent years. Thank you, Sarah and Sarah, from us all.
